Polyester industrial films are used in a
wide range of industrial applications such as release coating,
optical,
leader tape,
liner sheet, and stamping foil. The use of polyester film
in leader tape applications is an ideal and economical solution
to get your tape through any array of machinery quickly and
safely.
•Conversion:
To aid feed through of material on slitting
machines.
•Film reels:
Polyester leaders (trade name
Mylar® leader) are used to add to the picture reel
to make it match up with the sound. This polyester leader
is crosslinked to make it extra strong and resistant to
heat and cold, and comes in a variety of colours as well
as single and double perforated. Leader tapes are
very functional as they can be put it in place of damaged
frames of the work print and can also be put it in place
of shots
that need to be redone or have't been shot yet, just to
get
the
timing
of a scene right. It is also used to fill the gaps
in the multiple soundtracks.
