Metallised polyester film, with its
superb visual characteristics, is ideal for flexible packaging.
The purity of polyester film, in particular its freedom from
plastisers, makes it highly receptive to vacuum-deposited
coatings. Aluminum is the most commonly used, giving to
the film high reflectivity to light and radiant heat; very
low permeability to gases and water vapours; electrical conductivity
and a superb, decorative appearance. Polyester film is also
available with improved metal adhesion qualities for high
specification and packaging laminates (for barrier properties)
Metallised
film is suitable for a wide range of applications, including:
• Stamping and transfer foils
•Textile threads
•Decorative laminates
•Packaging
•Labels
•Solar control and insulation
•Horticulture
•Electrical, acoustic and industrial insulation
