REPROGRAPHIC: |
In the past cellulose acetate was used as
a base for microfilm but since the mid- 1950’s nearly
all microfilm is on a polyester base, which contributes to
the durability and longevity of the film.
Polyester films, primarily those fabricated
from polyethylene terephalate or PET is the largest volume
film used primarily for photographic/reprographic films and
magnetic media such as tapes and disks.
PSG is able to supply in expensive and versatile heat activated
pressure sensitive polyester which are ideal for laminating
film for inkjet, electrostatic, reprographic, photographic,
screen-printed and colour-copied images. Designed for use
with thermal – or cold-laminating equipment, the film
has a PH- neutral adhesive and comes without a liner. We also
can supply polyester as a base film for frontlit (reflective)
